Earlier, it was reported that Vetri Maaran is teaming up with comedy actor Soori. The yet-to-be-titled film will be based on late lyricist Na Muthukumar’s poem Pattampoochi Virpavan. 

Now, it is officially confirmed that producer Elred Kumar will bankroll the film under his popular production banner RS Infotainment. The cast and other details of the film are yet to be revealed. 

Elred Kumar recently met Vetri Maaran and congratulated him on the success of his latest release, Asuran, which has minted more than Rs 100 crore at the box office. 

In addition to the upcoming project with Elred Kumar, Vetri Maaran will also direct Dhanush in Vada Chennai 2, and he is reportedly in talks with actor Suirya for a film.
