Prakash Raj, Ramya Krishnan to star in Krishna Vamsi's Natsamrat remake

Director Krishna Vamsi is all set to adapt the Marathi film Natsamrat (2016) in Telugu, and he has signed actors Ramya Krishnan and Prakash Raj as the lead pair. 

Natsamrat, directed by Mahesh Manjrekar and starring Nana Patekar, is a heart-touching drama that presents the tragic family life of a stage artiste, who has retired from acting but is still reeling under the memories of his theatre days.

Reportedly, Prakash Raj will be stepping into the shoes of Nana Patekar, while Ramya Krishnan will essay his wife's role, which was originally played by Medha Manjrekare.

Avika Gor, who is currently awaiting the release of Raju Gari Gadhi 3 has been roped in to play Prakash Raj and Ramya Krishna's daughter in the film, which will be produced by Abhishek Jawkar and Madhu Kalipu.
