The shooting of '83, the cinematic take on Indian cricket team’s historic win at the 1983 Cricket World Cup in England and Wales, has been wrapped up. The film's lead, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh, recently hosted a wrap-up party with the rest of the film's cast. It is said that Deepika sent a personalised invite to each member of the cast and crew of '83.

Ranveer essays the role of former Indian skipper Kapil Dev in the film, which is predominantly shot in the UK. Shooting locations for '83 also included Turnbridge Wells, Dulwich College, The Oval, and Glasgow.

Boman Irani has been cast as Farookh Engineer in the film, while Deepika will have a special appearance as Kapil Dev’s wife, Romi Dev. The ensemble cast of ‘83 includes actors like Saqib Saleem, Jiiva, and Pankaj Tripathi.

‘83, which is scheduled to hit the screens next summer, will be released in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.
