Vijay's friends Sanjeev, Sriman and Srinath join Thalpathy 64

Vijay's next with Lokesh Kanagaraj, tentatively referred to as Thalapathy 64, went on floors on Thursday. Before the official launch, the team announced that Malavika Mohanan, Vijay Sethupathi, Shanthanu, and Angamaly Diaries-fame Antony Varghese are all part of the project. The latest update is that Vijay's real-life friends Sanjeev, Sriman, and Srinath have joined the cast.

Sriman confirmed the news by sharing a picture of himself with Vijay on his Twitter handle. 

It may be recalled that Sriman has previously appeared as Vijay's friend in several films, including Love Today. Sanjeev, on the other hand, was a part of Nilaave Vaa, Badri and Puthiya Geethai, while Srinath debuted alongside Vijay in 1992's Naalaiya Theerpu and played the comedian in other films of the actor's, like Vettaikaran
