Veteran actor Bala Singh passes away at the age of 67

Veteran actor Bala Singh, who has acted in over 100 films, passed away today due to a cardiac arrest at the age of 67.  

The National School of Drama alumnus made his acting debut in 1983 with Malamukalile Daivam. He made his Tamil debut with the Nasser-directorial Avatharam in 1995. Well known for his role in Pudhupettai, Bala Singh has worked with eminent filmmakers like Mani Ratnam, Shankar, and Kamal Haasan. Bala Singh was recently seen in the Selvaraghavan film, NGK and the Arya-starrer Magamuni

While he is known for playing the antagonist in many films, Bala Singh was equally adept as a supporting actor and displayed his comic sense in a number of films.

Apart from his work in cinema, Bala Singh has also been part of iconic television serials like Rudhraveenai
