Karthik Subbaraj’s Stone Bench Films is on a roll as it has recently announced another of its production, which becomes their fifth film. The production house had earlier announced its fourth venture, starring Ayshwarya Rajesh in the lead, and directed by Rathindran R Prasad.

Vaibhav and Natpe Thunai-fame Anakha will be playing the leads in the new film, which will be directed by Ashok Veerappan, who had assisted Karthik in Pizza and Jigarthanda.

According to reports, the yet-to-be-titled film will be set in the south, rural Tamil Nadu - the Karaikudi-Ramanathapuram belt to be specific - and will have lots of comedy, drama, and action. Also, Vaibhav, who plays the lead, will reportedly be sporting a new rusting look, with a thick beard and a funky hairstyle.

Incidentally, Ashok is the first among Karthik’s ADs to turn director. The debutant has apparently worked on the film's script for two years.

Ilayaraja, a popular folk singer in Tamil, will be making his acting debut in the film. He will be playing Vaibhav’s friend.

While Santhosh Narayanan is in charge of the film's music, Dinesh Purushothaman, who is shooting Atharvaa’s Kuruthi Aattam, has been signed up as the cinematographer.
