Production on director Venu Udugula's upcoming period drama, Virataparvam, will resume in December. The film had been put on hold for a couple of months after its lead actor Rana Daggubati took a long break from films for undisclosed reasons. Now that the Nene Raju Nene Mantri actor is back in Hyderabad, the film's shooting will resume next month.

As the film got delayed indefinitely, cinematographer Jayakrishna Gummadi backed out of the project. He has now been replaced by Mahanati-fame Dani Sanchez-Lopez.

"The shoot did not go as planned and Jayakrishna, who had already committed to another project, had to walk out of Virataparvam. Hence, Venu has signed Dani Sanchez as his replacement,” informs a source from the production unit. Dani Sanchez-Lopez made his Telugu debut with the Keerthy Suresh-starrer Mahanati.

Produced by Daggubati Suresh Babu, Virataparvam has Sai Pallavi, Tabu, Priyamani, Zarina Wahab, and Eeshwari Rao in prominent roles. Suresh Bobbili is scoring the music for the film, which is expected to be released next summer.
