Jeethu Joseph’s upcoming film, which sees Karthi and Jyotika share screen space for the first time, has been titled Thambi. Following the first look of the film, which was unveiled by Suriya yesterday, the teaser was launched today by Mohanlal and Nagarjuna. The Telugu version of the film has been titled Donga.

The teaser features Karthi as an imposter and Jyotika as his sister awaiting his arrival. Interestingly, Karthi's character has been titled Saravanan, which is the original name of Suriya. 

Notably, the same title has earlier been used for Madhavan’s 2006 film with Seeman.

Apart from Jyotika and Karthi, the film also stars Sathyaraj, Nikhila Vimal, and 90 ML-fame Anson Paul. Produced by Parallel Minds Productions, in association with Viacom18 Studios, Thambi will have music by Govind Vasantha and cinematography by RD Rajasekhar.

The team has confirmed that Thambi will have a December release.
