The shooting of the ninth instalment of the Fast & Furious franchise is complete. The film's director Justin Lin took to Twitter to confirm the news. He also called it "the most ambitious film of the series" and thanked his crew.

Apart from series regulars such as Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson and Chris "Ludacris" Bridges, the film also stars Puerto Rican singer Ozuna, English actor Finn Cole, Anna Sawai, and wrestling superstar John Cena. The film will also have Helen Mirren and Charlize Theron, reprising their Fate of the Furious roles as Magdalene Shaw and the villain Cipher, respectively.

This film marks Lin’s fourth outing in the franchise, having previously directed Fast & Furious, Fast Five and Fast & Furious 6. He will also helm Fast & Furious 10, which is still set to be the final instalment of the main film series.

Fast & Furious 9 is expected to hit screens on May 22, 2020.
