Upendra’s Kabza to go on floors on November 18

Director R Chandru, who is joining hands with the Real Star for the crime drama, has roped in Jagapathi Babu for the film as well

Upendra's upcoming film, Kabza, with director R Chandru is set to go on floors soon The formal launch ceremony is set to happen on November 18 and the entire shooting will be done in one stretch.

Upendra, who is almost done with the shooting of Buddivantha 2, is said to be preparing for the new character.

Meanwhile, the makers are working on the look and feel of the film, which is set in the 1980s. It will be shot extensively in Bengaluru, Mumbai, Madurai, and Mangaluru.

R Chandru, who is making the gangster film in seven languages — Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Hindi, Marathi, and Bengali — is apparently planning to bring on board the best seven villains from across the country. Among the first to join the team of Kabza is Jagapati Babu, who has signed an agreement with the makers. The villain of Darshan-starrer Roberrt is one of the most sought-after actors in the south, and this will be his first collaboration with Upendra. 

Bollywood actors Nana Patekar, Manoj Bajpai, Pradeep Rawat, Prakash Raj, Samuthirakani, and Jaya Prakash Reddy are said to have given verbal confirmation to the director.

The ambitious film will be bankrolled by R Chandru under his home banner, Sri Siddheswara Enterprises. The director will decide on the technical crew in the next few days. He is also in the process of finalising the heroine, whose portions will be shot only in December.
