Harish Kalyan on board Vicky Donor's Tamil remake

CE Features

The 2012 Hindi romcom Vicky Donor, which marked the debut of Ayushmann Khurrana, is getting a Tamil remake and Harish Kalyan will be reprising the lead role in it. The film will also mark the Tamil debut of director Krishna Marimuthu, who directed the starring Naga Chaitanya-starrer Yuddham Sharanam, two years ago.

Despite widespread speculation that the remake has been titled Dharala Prabhu, a source close to the unit has confirmed that the makers have not zeroed in on a title yet.

Vicky Donor, produced by John Abraham, is the story of a man who donates sperm for money and faces unexpected repercussions because of it.

Harish Kalyan, who recently played the lead in Ispade Rajavum Idhaya Raniyum and appeared in a cameo role in the Telugu film, Jersey, is currently busy with Dhanusu Raasi Neyargale, directed by Sanjay Bharathi. He will next star in Kasada Tabara — a multistarrer directed by Chimbu Devan and co-starring Shantanu, Sundeep Kishan, Venkat Prabhu, Regina Cassandra, and Priya Bhavani Shankar.
