CE Features

The mutual admiration between Chiranjeevi and R Narayana Murthy is special. While the former calls Murthy his dear friend with a pure heart, the latter reciprocated his gesture by praising him as the pillar of Telugu cinema industry at the audio release of his upcoming directorial Marketlo Prajaswamyam at Prasad Labs on Tuesday. Walking down the memory lane, the duo recalled the memories when they started their career in the industry in Chennai. "I have come here to make my friend (R Narayana Murthy) feel happy. Murthy is a straightforward person and is passionate about cinema. Although our lives have changed, he is still the same person as he was during Pranam Khareedu (1978). He has no greed for money and has been a crusader of socio-economic films at a time when commercial films are ruling the roost," said Chiru.

Later, Murthy thanked Chiru for gracing the event. "Chiranjeevi has stamped his authority in the Telugu cinema industry for four decades as the Megastar. Like how Prithviraj Kapoor's family has catapulted to success in Bollywood with established actors, several actors from Chiranjeevi's family have made their mark in Telugu cinema. Chiranjeevi has been a pillar to our industry and now that he graced my film's audio release, it's getting a lot of attention."
