CE Features

Amitabh Bachchan will play himself in a cameo appearance in the upcoming Marathi film, AB Ani CD. Directed by Milind Lele, the buddy comedy is fronted by veteran actor and theatre legend, Vikram Gokhale. The makers are planning to release the film in December. Big B, who is presently shooting for Anand Pandit's mystery thriller, Chehre, wrote on his blog: “Now off again for a small guest appearance for Vikram Gokhale's Marathi film.”

Incidentally, Amitabh plays the lead role in famed Marathi director Nagraj Manjule’s Hindi debut, Jhund. Set in Nagpur, the sports biopic is based on the life of Slum Soccer founder, Vijay Barse. The 76-year-old actor will be doing some patchwork for the film over the next two days.

Besides Jhund and Chehre, he will also be shooting for Shoojit Sircar’s family comedy, Gulabo Sitabo. The Lucknow-set film also stars Ayushmann Khurrana. Amitabh and Shoojit had previously collaborated on Piku (2015) and Pink (2017).
