Two years ago, Salman Khan's Tubelight became the first Indian film to get a special Twitter emoji and later that year, Vijay's Mersal got the distinction of being the first Tamil film to get one. Now, Suriya's NGK has joined the list of films to get their own emoji on the social media platform. The actor took to Twitter to share the news and thanked Twitter India. From today, fans can Tweet with #NGK, #NGKFire and #NGK from May 31 to activate the new emoji, which will be active until June 4.

In a statement, SR Prabhu, the producer of the film said, “Twitter is a crucial part of our engagement strategy for NGK. We’re thankful to Twitter for this vibrant emoji that we’re sure fans will love. Yuvan’s recent live-stream with Selvaraghavan went incredibly well, receiving over 67,000 views and we look forward to some exciting conversations around NGK based on Suriya’s live-stream where he will talk about what fans can expect from the film. This exciting collaboration between Dream Warrior Pictures and Twitter aims to delight fans with fun engagements, allowing them to connect better with the film and characters.’’

Co-starring Sai Pallavi and Rakul Preet, NGK has cinematography by Sivakumar Vijayan and editing by Praveen KL. The film is scheduled to hit the screens on May 31.
