We had earlier reported that Vishal had begun starting on his next home production. A source close to the project has now revealed that Shraddha Srinath, who was recently seen in Arulnithi’s K-13 and Nani’s Jersey, has been roped in to play the female lead in this sequel to the 2018 hit, Irumbuthirai. This film is being helmed by Anand, an erstwhile assistant to director Ezhil, and is expected to hit the screens later this year.

Shraddha, who shot to fame with Vikram Vedha, currently has Nerkonda Paarvai, the Tamil remake of Pink, in the pipeline. The actor reprises Taapsee Pannu’s role from the original in the Ajith-starrer, which is slated for release on August 15. She also has Maara in Tamil, Jodi in Telugu, and Rustom and Godhra in Kannada, in various stages of production.
