We had earlier reported that director Ahmed of Endrendrum Punnagai fame will be teaming up with Jayam Ravi for a film. Speculations are now rife that Taapsee Pannu has been roped in to play the female lead.  An official announcement is awaited.

It is notable that Taapsee’s last film in Tamil was the 2015 film Vai Raja Vai. However, she had recently completed shooting for Maya-fame Ashwin Saravanan’s Game Over. 

Earlier, Ahmed had said that his film with Jayam Ravi will be an action drama with an original script, following speculations that the project could be a remake of the Bollywood hit, Baby. 

Jayam Ravi, meanwhile, is working on Comali, directed by debutant Pradeep Renganathan. The Adangamaru actor also has the sequel to his 2015 hit, Thani Oruvan, and a three film deal with Screen Scene Media Entertainment Pvt Ltd in his kitty.
