The delay in the commencement of the second schedule fuelled speculations about the film getting shelved.

Producer Ram Talluri quashes rumours claiming that his next film Disco Raja, starring Ravi Teja, has been shelved due to creative differences. A few months ago, Ram announced that he will be reuniting with his Nela Ticket actor for a sci-fi action thriller to be directed by Vi Anand of Ekkadaki Pothavu Chinnavada fame.

While the makers wrapped up a week-long schedule in March, the delay in the commencement of the second schedule fuelled speculations about the film getting shelved. But Ram assures that the second schedule will begin on May 27. "The film is replete with special effects and director Vi Anand, and his team are investing a lot of efforts to make Disco Raja a visual extravaganza. Planning of the second schedule has taken little over a month's time. We are excited to make this film with Ravi Teja and Anand," said Ram Talluri. Also starring Payal Rajput and Nabha Natesh as the female leads, Disco Raja has music by SS Thaman.

DOP Sai Sriram walks out

Sai Sriram, best known for his work in films like Supreme, Ekkadaki Pothavu Chinnavada and Chalo, was roped in as the cinematographer for Disco Raja a few months ago. However, he has walked out of the project citing date issues and has been replaced by Karthik Ghattamaneni. “Sai Sriram was working on a hectic schedule and had to leave the project because the dates clashed with Sundeep Kishan-starrer Tenali Ramakrishna BABL. Hence, the team has got Karthik on board as his replacement,” says a source.
