Actor Priyamani has been approached to play a significant role in director Venu Udugula's upcoming period political actioner Virata Parvam 1992, featuring Rana Daggubati and Sai Pallavi in lead roles. "Priyamani was offered the role of a Naxalite leader, who operates as a deputy to Rana in the film. She was happy about her role in the film and has agreed to be on board. She has returned from Dubai on Tuesday and is expected to sign on the dotted line later this week," says a source.

Last seen in the Prakash Raj-directorial, Mana Oori Ramayanam (2016), the National-award winner has taken a self-imposed break in Tollywood after her marriage to Mustafa Raj, a Dubai-based event organiser. Also starring Tabu, Eswari Rao and Zareena Wahab in supporting roles, Virata Parvam 1992 will go on floors in June.
