Prithviraj has confirmed that he is starring in his directorial debut, Lucifer, by sharing the poster of his character, Zayed Masood. This will be the first time Prithviraj shares screen space with Mohanlal.

The announcement has put to rest months of speculation about the ‘surprise’ character in the film. The other details of the character, who shows up for a second in the recently released official trailer, are being kept under wraps.

Scripted by Murali Gopy, Lucifer is touted to be a mass entertainer with Mohanlal playing a politician named Stephen Nedumpally. The film, which has cinematography by  Sujith Vaassudev, also stars Manju Warrier, Tovino Thomas, Indrajith Sukumaran, and Vivek Oberoi.
