Radha Mohan to direct Trisha's Badla Tamil remake?

CE Features

We had earlier reported that the remake rights of Badla, the Tapsee Pannu-Amitabh Bachchan-starrer, which recently released to critical and commercial success, has been reportedly bought by producer Dhananjayan, and Trisha has been approached to play the lead role in it.

Now, the recent buzz is that Radha Mohan, who last directed the Jyotika-starrer, Kaatrin Mozhi, might direct the Tamil remake. If it materialises, this remake will be Trisha's second film with Radha Mohan after Abhiyum Naanum.

While an official confirmation is awaited in this regard. there is still no word on who will replace Amitabh in the Tamil version.

Badla, a remake of the 2017 Spanish thriller The Invisible Guest, had Amitabh portraying a witness consultant and Taapsee playing the role of a businesswoman.

Trisha,  meanwhile, has Garjanai, a film inspired by Anushka Sharma's NH10, in the pipeline. Aside from this, she has projects like Sathuranga Vettai 2, Paramapadham Vilayattu, and a yet-to-be-titled project alongside Simran in various stages of productions.
