John David Washington to star in Christopher Nolan's upcoming film

Christopher Nolan's upcoming directorial is set to star BlacKkKlansman actor John David Washington in the lead role. The film will be bankrolled by Nolan and his wife, Emma Thomas. 

While the entire project is shrouded in secrecy, there are speculations that it will be an action film mounted on a massive scale. Meanwhile, there are reports that Twilight star Robert Pattinson might also be part of the film. 

With Nolan having just finished the script, the film made under the Warner Bros Studios will be released on July 17, 2020. Incidentally, his previous directorial, Dunkirk, was also released in July, 2017. The war film earned him his first Oscar nomination. 

John David, son of Academy Award-winner Denzel Washington, had a breakout role in Dwayne Johnson's 2015 HBO comedy series, Ballers, and also received rave reviews for his performance as Dennis Williams in Monsters and Men
