We had earlier reported that Indrajith Sukumaran will be part of Gautham Menon’s upcoming web series based on the life of late chief minister J Jayalalithaa. Reports now suggest that the Malayalam actor is playing the role of MGR in the film and is currently shooting in the city for the same. It is also being speculated that the web series has been named Queen. While Ramya Krishnan essays the role of Jayalalithaa, Viswasam-fame Anikhaa will play the younger Jayalalithaa. 

Apart from GVM, directors Vijay, Bharathiraja and Priyadharshini have also announced biopics on the life of Jayalalithaa. While Vijay’s version has been named Thalaivi, Priyadharshini’s film, which has Nithya Menen essaying the titular role, has been named The Iron Lady. 

Meanwhile, Indrajit Sukumaran will also be seen in Karthik Naren’s Naragasooran.
