After Kathai Thiraikathai Vasanam Iyakkam (2014), actor-director Parthiban is making his directorial comeback with Oththa Seruppu. The film, which will also see him playing an important role, is touted to be a murder mystery. The shooting for the film has already begun. 

Oththa Seruppu, produced by Parthiban under his home banner, has music by Santhosh Narayanan, and cinematography by Ramji. The first look of the film was unveiled today by Vijay Sethupathi on Twitter. 

Parthiban, who was last seen in the 2018 film Keni, is currently working on Vishal’s Ayogya, directed by debutant Venkat Mohan. The Puthiya Paadhai director also has a biopic on the veteran actor Chandrababu in the pipeline. Sources suggest that Prabhudheva will play Chandrababu in this biopic. A sequel to his hit film, Ulle Veliye, in also on the cards.
