Karthi's next film after Dev, directed by Maanagaram-fame Lokesh Kanagaraj, has been titled Kaithi. The film's first look, which was revealed by Karthi on Twitter, features a painted portrait of the actor's bearded face behind bars, which seem to reek of blood.

Interestingly, Kaithi, starring Anjathey-fame Naren, Ramana and George Mariyaan in important roles, does not have a heroine. The action thriller, which is said to portray events happening over a night, is said to have some intense action blocks to be choreographed by stunt master duo, Anbariv. 

The film, jointly produced by Dream Warrior Pictures and Vivekandanda Pictures, has music by Sam CS, cinematography by Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru-fame Sathyan Sooryan, and editing by Philomin Raj. Kaithi,  which is being shot in and around Chennai and Tirunelveli, is expected to get a release later this year.
