Maine Pyar Kiya-fame Bhagyashree has joined hands with Madhoo, Sadha, Suman Ranganathan, Deepti Bhatnagar, Hari Teja and Pooja Jhaveri for a new film, Kitty Party

Touted to be a female-buddy entertainer, the film, produced by Bhogendra Gupta, marks the debut of Sundar Pavan as the director.

About the film, Sundar says, "It's a first-of-its-kind all-female lead film which shows how independent women from different walks of life bond over a common interest.  The story is based on true incidents and we started the film with a song shoot recently."

Madhubala plays a doctor and mother to Pooja Jhaveri in the film, which also stars Harshavardhan Rane in an important role.

Meanwhile, Bhagyashree says, "Pavan's idea is to make an entertaining film, something on the lines of Desperate Housewives and Sex and the City, and the story will be told from the perspective of women. A lot of women will relate to our characters in the film."

Sidharth Sadasivuni is scoring the music for Kitty Party, and Sai Sriram handles the cinematography.
