Maamaankam's third schedule wrapped up

Mammootty, who is currently in the middle of filming Khalid Rahman’s second film, Unda, is expected to join the sets soon

The third schedule of Mammootty’s upcoming historical epic, Maamaankam has been wrapped up in Kochi. 

The production is currently moving ahead with director Padmakumar at the helm, after the original director Sajeev Pillai parted ways following huge creative differences with the producer. Padmakumar recently directed Joseph, which fetched a state award for its lead Joju George.

The newly-added cast members include Unni Mukundan, Anu Sithara, and Kaniha. Maamaankam is expected to feature elaborate fight sequences. Mammootty, who is currently in the middle of filming Khalid Rahman’s second film, Unda, is expected to join the sets soon.
