Nayanthara, who was last seen in Sivakarthikeyan's Mr Local, was supposed to have her fourth release of the year on 14th June with the horror thriller, Kolaiyuthir Kaalam. But unfortunately, the release was infinitely postponed because of a legal issue.

Following a claim by a person named Balaji Kumar that he holds the rights to the famous novel, Kolaiyuthir Kaalam, by Sujatha, and that the usage of the title for the Nayanthara starrer is a case of copyright infringement, the court had stayed the release of the film, until further review.

The court has now reportedly cleared the case and removed the stay on the film's release.

Also, it's being said that the team is planning to announce the new release date soon. Kolaiyuthir Kaalam is produced by V Mathiyalagan's Etcetera entertainment, and also stars Bhumika Chawla and Prathap Pothen in important roles.
