Salt N’ Pepper sequel Black Coffee starts rolling 

The cast members of the first installment, Lal, Shwetha Menon, and Mythili are also part of the project which has new additions like Lena and Rachana Narayanankutty

Ator-director Baburaj has revealed that he is helming the sequel to the hit Aashiq Abu film Salt N’ Pepper, and it has been titled Black Coffee. The team commenced filming for the film today. Salt N’ Pepper, a love story of two food lovers, was released eight years ago.

The sequel, produced by Sajeesh Manjeri, has Baburaj reprising his role of professional chef Babu from the original. The cast members of the first installment, Lal, Shwetha Menon, and Mythili are also part of the project which has new additions like Lena and Rachana Narayanankutty. Aashiq Abu will be reportedly making a cameo appearance in the film.

Baburaj made his directorial debut with the Suresh Gopi-starrer Black Dahlia and it was followed up by Manushyamrugam, starring himself, two years later.
