Kavithaalaya, the production house of Marmadesam, has begun streaming Vidaathu Karuppu, the second season of the supernatural series on Youtube from yesterday.  They plan to release few episodes each day, from Monday to Saturday, on their official channel.

Though the series had four other seasons, namely Ragasiyam, Sorna Regai, Iyanthira Paravai and Edhuvum Nadakkum, the second season had the widest reach among the viewers, and it turned out to be one of the most memorable shows of the 90s.

The 82 episode-long season revolves around the suspicious deaths in a village and the cult of Karuppu Sami. Directed by Naga, Vidaathu Karuppu was based on the book written by Indra Soundarrajan titled Vittu Vidu Karupa! Interestingly, she also wrote the dialogues and screenplay for the series.

The recently revamped Kavithaalaya productions also released the classic light-hearted family drama, Kasalavu Nesam on their channel. The production house, which recently produced the musical documentary Harmony With AR Rahman for the Amazon Prime OTT platform, is soon set to come out with a sci-fi series, starring Bharath, Priya Bhavani Shankar, and Karunakaran.
