Lokesh Kumar of My Son is Gay fame is currently working on his second independent Tamil feature film, N4. The latest development is that television actor Sharanya Turadi has replaced Vani Bhojan as the film's female lead. Vani Bhojan, who also happens to be a Tv star, was set to make her big screen debut with this film. Several delays in the film's shoot and subsequent date clashes have been cited as the reasons for the actor's exit from the project.

Lokesh, in an earlier interview with us, had said that N4 will a thriller, set against the backdrop of Kasimedu. Michael Thangadurai, known for his films like Burma and Nalanum Nandiniyum, will be playing the male lead.

According to Lokesh, the leads will be playing people from the fishermen community. in the film, and "they will be both trained for the roles". Sharanya's character will be apparently similar to Aishwarya Rajesh's character in Kaaka Muttai. Lokesh had also claimed that N4 will be devoid of the usual North Madras-movie cliches like excessive violence and bloodshed.

N4 also features an ensemble cast that includes Afsal Hameed, Vishnu Unnikrishnan, and Anupama Kumar.

Meanwhile, Vani Bhojan is currently shooting for actor Nithin Sathya's next production venture, where she is paired with Vaibhav. This yet-to-be-titled film is expected to be her feature film debut. She will also be making her Telugu debut with a film, to be produced by Vijay Deverakonda.
