Sivakarthikeyan debuts in Telugu with Kanaa remake

The teaser also confirms that the Aishwarya Rajesh-starrer will be a faithful remake of the original, which marked the directorial debut of actor-lyricist Arunraja Kamaraj

We had previously reported that Sivakarthikeyan's first production venture, Kanaa, starring Aishwarya Rajesh is being remade in Telugu. With the teaser of the Telugu film, unveiled on Tuesday, it has been revealed that Sivakarthikeyan will be reprising his role as the coach, thereby making his Telugu debut. The teaser also confirmed that the film will be a faithful remake of the original, which marked the directorial debut of actor-lyricist Arunraja Kamaraj. 

The Telugu version, titled Kousalya Krishnamurthy, has Aishwarya reprising her role as the lead with Rajendra Prasad stepping into the shoes of Sathyaraj. The film, directed by Bheemaneni Srinivasa Rao, is being produced by KS Rama Rao under his Creative Commercials banner. The film also stars Karthik Raju, Jhansi, Vennela Kishore, and CVL Narasimha Rao.
