Thiruda Thirudi-director Subramaniam Shiva's comeback film, Vellai Yaanai, ready for release

We hear that the film's post-production is almost complete, and it will be sent to the censor board for certification soon

Subramaniam Shiva, who has directed films like Thiruda Thirudi, Pori, Yogi, and Seedan, has been shooting a film, titled Vellai Yaanai, with Samuthirakani in the lead, playing the role of a farmer. Now, we hear that the film's post-production is almost complete, and it will be sent to the censor board for certification soon.

If the film makes it to the theatres this year, this will the filmmaker's first release in seven years. Shiva took to Twitter to announce the update:

Shiva, who hails from Thanjavur, has reportedly narrated the story of Thanjavur farmers in Vellai Yaanai. Malayalam actor Athmiya Rajan plays the female lead in the film, which also stars Yogi Babu in an important role.

S Vinodh Kumar is producing Vellai Yaanai under his Mini Studios banner, while R Jagadeesan is handling the camera.
