The first single from Pakkiri, the Tamil version of Dhanush's Hollywood film, The Extraordinary Journey of the Fakir, has been released. The romantic song, titled Engleesu Lovesu, has been penned by Madhan Karky, and sung by Dhanush himself.

Both the English and the Tamil versions will be released in India, US, Canada, UK, Singapore, Malaysia, Bangladesh, and Nepal on June 21. Based on the novel, The Extraordinary Journey of the Fakir Who Got Trapped in an Ikea Wardrobe by Romain Puertolas, the film is directed by Ken Scott.

The Extraordinary Journey of the Fakir revolves around the life of Ajatashatru Lavash Patel, played by Dhanush, a street magician and trickster from Mumbai who embarks on an extraordinary journey in search of his father.

The comedy-adventure film premiered at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM) in 2018. Its poster was unveiled at the Cannes Film Festival last year.
