Sai Pallavi says she regrets doing Diya now

The actor also claimed that she would have suggested several changes to the film's script, had she listened to the story now.

Sai Pallavi, whose film with Suriya, NGK, hit the theatres yesterday, has mentioned in a recent interview that taking up the 2018 film, Diya, was a mistake on her side.

"I now feel that my decision to do the lead role in director Vijay's Diya was a wrong one. I did not possess the maturity I have now at that time. I felt that the movie revolves around me on reading the script, but, apparently, I was wrong," the Maari 2 actor has been quoted as saying.

Sai Pallavi also claimed that she would have suggested several changes to Diya's script, had she listened to the story now. 

Diya, a horror drama, was about a 19 year old (played by Sai Pallavi, who is convinced into aborting her pregnancy. Years later, her unborn baby's spirit kills all those who forced her mother to undergo the abortion.
