William Golding's novel Lord Of The Flies has been brought to the screen a few times already, but that isn't stopping Warner Bros. from trying again. Having re-acquired the rights in 2017, the studio now has Call Me By Your Name/Suspiria director Luca Guadagnino in negotiations to direct.

Guadagnino is in talks to helm the adaptation of William Golding's classic 1954 novel that centers on a group of young male boarding school students that end up stranded on an island and devolve into savages.

Guadagnino's adaptation will follow more closely to Golding's text, once again centering on a group of school boys.
