The fourth installment in the Thor franchise, Thor: Love and Thunder will be shot in Sydney. Directed by Taika Waititi, the film will star Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, and Tessa Thompson. Notably, the Australian and New South Wales governments will provide over $16.7 million in incentives to ‘lure the production down under.’

Thor: Love and Thunder will be filmed at Fox Studios Australia, now owned by Marvel parent Disney. The pre-production will begin from March 2020 with the film going on floors in August, after production on Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings has been finished.

“It’s an interesting feeling after End Game because it was like where do you go from there, but it’s about making great films and to still be a part of the Marvel/Disney family and to be able to make another film is fantastic,” said Chris Hemsworth.
