Santhosh Narayanan to compose for Samuthirakani’s film with Subramaniam Shiva

The film also stars Athmiya Rajan, Yogi Babu,  Ramdass, writer Bava Chelladurai among others

We had recently reported that director Subramaniam Shiva, known for films like Thiruda Thirudi, is making a comeback with Vellai Yaanai. Now, it has been announced that Santhosh Narayanan has been brought on board as the music composer.
“Santhosh Narayanan really liked the film when we showed it to him. He felt the film was an important documentation of the lives of farmers and agreed to be the music director,” said Shiva in a statement. 
Vellai Yaanai is headlined by Samuthirakani and he shares screen space with Yogi Babu,  Ramdass, writer Bava Chelladurai among others. Malayalam actor Athmiya Rajan plays the female lead.  
Apart from Vella Yaanai, Samuthirakani will be seen in Halitha Shameem’s Sillu Karupetti, SS Rajamouli’s multi-lingual RRR, and Adutha Sattai, a sequel to his 2012 film Sattai.  On the direction front, he is awaiting the release of Nadodigal 2.
