Mahie Gill, Sayani Gupta, and Ragini Khanna are teaming up for an all-female psychological thriller titled Posham Pa. The film is helmed by National Award-winning director Suman Mukhopadhyay. The story revolves around a mother with mental illness who coerces her daughters into a life of crime. Faced with death penalty, the daughters narrate their story to two documentarians, played by Imaad Shah and Shivani Raghuvanshi. 

“The story of Posham Pa is inexplicable. I still cannot fathom how circumstances can make someone so cruel. It is one of the most challenging roles I have essayed, and when I heard the script, I decided to take it up almost immediately,” Mahie said

Sayani added, “It was difficult to get under the skin of my character. Right from my look to the brutality of the murders, it was all mind-numbing. Getting into the psyche of a criminal drains you physically and emotionally.”

Posham Pa streams on ZEE5 on August 12. Mahie Gill’s upcoming release is Family of Thakurganj. Sayani Gupta was last seen in Article 15.
