The director, who wanted to bring the canvas of his own film, America America, a classical hit of 1995, for this film, will now direct a film from his daughter's Kanasu's story, which happens in England and India, for which the muhurath shot took place on the banks of river Thames.  Chandrashekar, who is bringing the cultural and ideological differences between the two countries, says he had a tough time to come with a title, and even took suggestions from various people across the world.

The title - India vs England, also has an interesting tag line, which says — but not cricket!. The film features Vasishta as a British born NRI, and actors Anant Nag and Sumalatha in pivotal roles. The music is scored by Arjun Janya and cinematographers Will Price and Satya Hegde are in charge of cinematography. The film, produced by YN Shankare Gowda, also has a couple of director's friends, including NRIs investing in the project.
