Sid Sriram to turn music director with Mani Ratnam production's Vaanam Kottatum

Singer Sid Sriram, who has become one of the most sought after voices in the country, with hit songs like Adiye, Ennodu Nee Irundhaal, Thalli Pogathe, Inkem Kavale, and the recent Andhi Maalai, is all set to turn a music director.

The Chennai-born singer, who moved with his parents to the US, when he was a year old, has been signed to compose music for the upcoming film, Vaanam Kottatum, starring Vikram Prabhu, and directed by Dhana Sekaran, an erstwhile assistant of the Kaatru Veliyidai filmmaker. Dhana had earlier directed Padai Veeran, starring Vijay Yesudas and Bharathiraja.

Also starring Madonna Sebastian and Aishwarya Rajesh as the female leads, Vaanam Kottatum is penned by Mani Ratnam himself. It has been announced that Madonna will play Vikram Prabhu's romantic interest, while Aishwarya will be playing his sister. 

Vaanam Kottatum has cinematography by Abhiyum Naanum-fame Preetha Jayaraman.
