In a recent tweet, Rangoli Chandel called Taapsee Pannu a ‘sasti (cheap) copy’ of her elder sister Kangana Ranaut. The tweet irked filmmaker Anurag Kashyap, who responded by calling the comment ‘desperate’. Meanwhile, speaking to a portal, Kangana has reportedly defended her sister’s remarks saying Taapsee has been badmouthing her in public.

Commenting on the issue, Kangana told the portal that the way Anurag is defending Taapsee, her sister is defending her. She argued that Taapsee has called her an extremist in the past and added that Rangoli’s comment had nothing to do with her upcoming film’s release.

The online tiff started when Taapsee tweeted positively about the trailer of Kangana’s upcoming film, Judgementall Hai Kya. Responding to her tweet, Rangoli lashed out at Taapsee for not mentioning Kangana’s name in the comment.

To this, Anurag, who has worked with Taapsee in Manmarziyaan (2018) and had produced Kangana’s Queen (2013), responded,

Judgementall Hai Kya also stars Rajkummar Rao as the male lead. The film marks the Bollywood debut of Telugu filmmaker Prakash Kovelamudi. The black comedy, which revolves around two people suspected of muder, is slated for release on July 26, 2019.
