Darshan, known as the Challenging star in the Kannada industry, has — true to his moniker — come up with a challenge for his fans. Ahead of the audio launch of the actor's upcoming film, Muniratna Kurukshetra on July 7, the producer had distributed passes which did not have a picture of the Yajamana actor. The star's fans were upset and expressed their displeasure on social media. Darshan, in a video message to his fans on Facebook and Twitter, said, "You call me a celebrity, but each one of you is a celebrity to me. Kurukshetra, even though it is my landmark film, is a mythological drama that consists of an ensemble cast — including Appaji (late Ambareesh), Arjun Sarja, Ravi Chandran, Srinivas Murthy and Nikhil. Irrespective of who is part of the film, I request all my fans give equal respect to all of them."

He also goes on to mention that a film like Kurukshetra was a big challenge and praised producer Muniratna for pulling it off. "Don't just look for which actor's posters are released, and whose cut outs have been put up. I request you all to come with your family members and watch the characters — Duryodhana, Arjuna and Karna. This is my challenge to you all. Let there be no fights, watch the film with love," he said.

Muniratna Kurukshetra, directed by Naganna has music by V Harikrishna and is slated for release on August 9. However, as we had reported yesterday, the production house is discussing advancing the film's release to August 2. A decision on this will be taken soon.
