We had previously reported that the Tamil dubbed version of The Lion King will have Siddharth and Arvind Swami voicing Simba and Scar, respectively. It is now known that actors Aishwarya Rajesh, Rohini, P Ravishankar (of Vettaikaran fame), Singampuli, Robo Shankar, and Manobala are also a part of the voice cast.

While it has not been specified who is voicing which character, it is speculated that Ravishankar will voice Mufasa, the father of Simba, while Rohini will voice for Simba's mother, Sarabi. Aishwarya Rajesh is expected to voice Simba's love interest, Nala, while Manobala and Robo Shankar will voice Timon and Pumbaa, respectively.

Directed by Jon Favreau, The Lion King is a photorealistic computer-animated remake of the traditionally animated 1994 film of the same name. The film, which will also be dubbed in other regional languages such as Telugu and Hindi, will be released on July 19.
