We had reported last year in May that Vijay Sethupathi will be teaming up with Peranmai-fame director SP Jananathan. It's now known that the film will be produced by 7C Entertainment's Arumuga Kumar, who had earlier produced and directed Vijay Sethupathi's Oru Nalla Naal Paathu Solren.

A source close to the film confirms that Shruti Haasan has been confirmed as the female lead and the makers are planning to name the film, Laabam. This will be the first time that Shruti teams up with Vijay Sethupathi.

Apart from the leads, Jagapathi Babu, who was recently seen in Viswasam, has been roped in as the antagonist for the film.
