Actor Rakul Preet, who had no Telugu releases in 2018, is all set to return with the comedy film titled Venky Mama. The actor will begin shooting for the film, to be directed by KS Ravindra (Bobby), on February 21. Also starring Venkatesh, Naga Chaitanya and Shriya Saran, the film is being bankrolled by Suresh Productions in collaboration with Blue Planet Entertainment. 

“The script has been locked and the team feels it's necessary to begin shooting for the film from February, to wrap it in June and go ahead release with the release in the second half of the year. The first schedule featuring the principal star cast will be shot in Hyderabad,” says a source. 

The film has music by Devi Sri Prasad.
