Dhanush has begun shooting for Asuran, his next with Vetrimaaran. The first look of the film, which marks the Tamil debut of the Malayalam actor Manju Warrior, was launched yesterday.  

The film, based on the novel Vekkai, has cinematography by R Velraj. Vetrimaaran has joined hands with his regular composer GV Prakash, after a working with Santhosh Narayanan in his last film Vada Chennai.

Asuran is produced by S Thanu, under his banner V Creations. The makers are yet to announce the rest of the cast of the film. 

Dhanush and Vetrimaaran will begin shooting for Vada Chennai 2 Anbuvin Ezhuchi after completing Asuran.
