The first look of Vetrimaaran's next with Dhanush, titled Asuran, was revealed on Twitter today by the actor.

Malayalam actor Manju Warrier has been roped in as the female lead in Asuran, which will not only mark the versatile actor's debut in Tamil, but also her first-ever film outside Malayalam cinema.

The film, based on Poomani's novel Vekkai, will be the fourth collaboration between Dhanush and Vetrimaaran after Polladhavan, Aadukalam, and Vada Chennai

Expectations are high for Asuran, given the actor-director duo's Aadukalam won National Film Awards for both Vetrimaaran and Dhanush. Bankrolled by Kalaipuli S Thanu under his V Creation banner, the film, with music by GV Prakash, will be a quick project before the actor and director resume shooting for the second part of Vada Chennai
