After Sundarapandian and Rummy, Soori is part of a Vijay Sethupathi film again, as he joins the cast of the actor's upcoming film directed by Vijay Chandar.

Having directed Simbu and Vikram in Vaalu and Sketch, respectively, Vijay Chandar's upcoming yet-to-be-titled film is expected to be a commercial entertainer set in North Chennai. Bankrolled by Vijaya Productions, the film has cinematography by Velraj, music by D Imman and editing by Praveen KL. It is likely to go on floors next month.

Vijay Sethupathi, who was last seen in Petta, currently has Sindhubaadh with SU Arunkumar, Maamanithan with Seenu Ramasamy, and Thiagarajan Kumararaja's Super Deluxe in various stages of production. The actor will also be debuting in Malayalam with Marconi Mathai, sharing screen space with Jayaram, and in Telugu with Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy, in which he plays Raaja Pandi, a freedom fighter.
