The teaser of Jiiva-starrer Gypsy, which was released earlier this month, made heads turn thanks to its unique treatment. The first single from the film, Very Very Bad, featuring major social activists like Nalla Kannu, Piyush Manush, and Thirumurugan Gandhi was launched in Chennai yesterday. Speaking at the song launch, Jiiva said, "I was initially a bit afraid while shooting for the song as it has strong political lyrics. I kept asking director Raju Murugan whether we would get arrested. But, the during the second day of the song shoot, a lot of people who came to see the shooting started to enjoy and support the song. This gave me a lot of confidence."

He also added that Gypsy is a film that "celebrates humanity and nature. This film will be a reality check for many people. The rest of them will be able to relate to the characters in the film."

Co-starring debutante Natasha Singh and Mayalayam actor Sunny Wayne, Gypsy is produced by Ambeth Kumar, under his banner, Olympia Pictures.
