Tovino Thomas is teaming up once again with Godha director Basil Joseph on a superhero film titled Minnal Murali. A teaser poster was revealed by the makers on social media yesterday on the occasion of Tovino’s birthday. 

Sophia Paul, who produced Bangalore Days and Padayottam, is bankrolling the film under the banner of Weekend Blockbusters.

2019 is a special year for Malayalam cinema as we will see three superhero films being made. Minnal Murali is the third superhero film to be announced after Tom Emmaatty’s The Gambler (led by Anson Paul) and Viyaan Vishnu’s Parakkum Pappan (starring Dileep).

Tovino was last seen in Jose Sebastian’s Ente Ummante Peru. His other upcoming releases aside from Minnal Murali are Lucifer, Kalki, Luca, Uyare, Virus, And the Oscar Goes To, Kilometers and Kilometers, and Joe.

Basil Joseph, who is also an actor, was seen recently in Padayottam. Minnal Murali marks his third directorial.
